Knowledge Is Power
Take the time in your life now to say I am going to make a difference. Realize that you will always have to be proactive and understanding that obstacles are a part of life. If you want great success then you will enjoy those moments of challenge because they will only allow for you to perfect yourself. In your relationships in life recognize that everyone else will always believe they are right. Even if they are harden criminals or ruthless dictators, in their mind what they are doing is correct. We will always come across people that rationalize their actions. First realize that you can’t tear them apart. It only helps them to build their point stronger.
If you want to persuade people that are creating obstacles then first try to understand them. Then you have to be willing to listen, even if it means a long time. Just listen and try to understand. Even if an argument ends in disagreement, at least both of you can be civilized about it. First be appreciative of what you have already so you don’t succumb to doubt and depression. Then realize where you want to simply be and how your obstacle is not actually standing in the way, but really helping you to get there. Let me give you an example.
When I was younger I wanted to be liked more by the opposite sex. I started to realize that many people around me were financially successful. I figured that I had to be like them. Buy that new car, pay off that debt, and build my own house. Well I began to change my life around so I could start achieving goals. I worked harder and harder at my job. I began to realize that money had very little to do with what was behind success. I found out what was more attractive was persistence, stability, freedom, dreams, communication, among many other skills that I needed to build on so I could achieve that financial success. When I found that financial success it wasn’t the dollar bills that I had enjoyed, but instead it was who I was becoming and finding out the type of person that I was looking for and what appealed to me altered and matured. That is the beauty of wisdom, which can only be achieved by overcoming your obstacles in your life.
