Criticism

These friends knew very little about blogging compared to my mentor. We began to discuss how I worked for a company that was in business development. There are many mentoring companies out there that pull a fast one on people and take them for their money. Now because there are companies that are crooked and unethical doesn’t mean that the whole industry is the same. I am sure you look at your job that you take pride in and hopefully feel confident about what you do that you are providing a service to customers that will help them.
Well I work for a very ethical company with guarantees, successful mentors, and many outlets for support. I know success stories that we have sold and stay in contact with them. Talking with people every day that work their 9-5 corporate jobs, and are college graduates, doctors, lawyers, loan officers, real estate agents, and many other well respected positions that are depressed with their position in life and are inching closer to retirement without anything sufficient in the bank. Deeper in debt and filled with regret and pain. They want out, but don’t know how to do it. I know we help or I would not be working there and I wouldn’t be as successful as I am. I would be a horrible salesman because I can’t sell what I don’t believe in.
My friends begin to bag on my company because of their experience with the industry and what they have heard, but yet do not know. I began to explain to them all of the accolades of the company and the testimonials of people I know that are doing well. One in particular continued to attack. He knows someone that used to work the company I work with. That former employee now helps generate leads for the company I work for, but yet still verbally attacks this company. I feel bad that he creates leads for a company he doesn’t believe in. Those leads are real people that need help. How sad is that? If I didn’t know that people were getting help then I wouldn’t work there. That company represents me and who I am because I am giving my livelihood. If it is corrupt then I am no different.
What is sad is that my mentor is a result of this same mentoring. He just actually applied it. Now these friends who are sitting their trying to learn from my friend are attacking the same source where he got it from. Talk about fighting the hand that feeds you. That is true irony. I want you to know that there are plenty of avenues for success out there whether you want to do internet marketing, start a business, get funding, improve a relationship, whatever you want to do. People attack what they don’t know. Don’t let others get in the way of your dreams. There will be a day when you have been consistent in your actions that those same people that doubt you will wish that they were you.

Very good article! I think it’s hilarious when people act like that. It shows how closed-minded they are. Oh well! Hey I tagged you for a post that you can use to get more people in your MyBlogLog community. Check it out it’s on my homepage. Keep up the good work!
Cade, this is a great post… and, I agree with Courtney. It does show how closed minded people can be. In my opinion, some people just aren’t happy or confident deep down and will just always need something to complain about or something to criticize. It’s pretty sad. I am impressed by the people who, instead of being negative, find something they believe in, work hard, and go for it with a positive attitude. I think those people are the ones who end up being truly successful (financially AND personally).
PS: I like your new comment layout
I totally agree with you Liz. I am so tired of people that doubt hard working people like you. Their doubt defeats them time and time again. I talked with a friend and we both agreed that if you do something enough times then you will eventually always succeed. I think your site is great! Keep it up.
