An Idea To Start A Home Business
Filed Under Starting A Business |
Pick your opportunities wisely-There will be many relationships that you will run into where you can make money with business opportunities. There are plenty of opportunities out there, but few that actually pan out. Your time is so limited. Use it wisely. I have plenty of great offers that come across the table, but learn to make less money at time for more freedom in your life. There are plenty of great opportunities to make money, but many come attached with spending a lot of time, which really makes that questionable. Remember the idea is to create more time in your life so you can enjoy that money.
Be yourself-Don’t put up a front that is fake. I worked with a person that many people made fun of because of how fake his personality was. You don’t have to be flashy or pretend to be more than what you are. People will catch on and consider you stupid. I have found in sales it is safer to show ignorance then to try to pretend you know something you don’t. Honesty is refreshing.
Little Overhead-Avoid getting into a lot of debt unless you know that it is going to be recouped soon. So many people start businesses with hundreds of thousands of dollars and look to get out of the red only in maybe a year. Plan how your money is going to be made. Take your time before you foolishly go out and spend money. So many companies spend money just trying to learn.
Pay well in the right areas-Always pay contractors well that provide a great service for your business. Get the most efficient products even if they cost more or else you will be paying for it down the road when you have to replace them.
Trust your instincts-When I started in sales I would get feelings with prospects that I felt as though they would not make a decision because of whatever reason. It took me quite some time to be able to trust my instinct to the point where I knew who would and wouldn’t be a good candidate. The same can be said for joint ventures and potential employees. Read quality books with good moral values and you will be surprised at how much more quickly you can begin to read people and their intentions based on subtle actions.
Don’t assume contracts are binding-Many contracts are voided and forgotten in the business world. Often when you start a business, trying to contest a broken contract is pointless because it only leads to a lot of court costs and little results. There are many shady people out there that will try to use you for money. You have to move on and not let it destroy you. You may have to learn areas or employ people in order to accomplish your goals. Contracts are not as consistent as strong relationships. That is really what will influence people to abide by the contract and in continuing to have a working relationship.
Value-Without a purpose behind what you are doing then your business will never be truly rewarding. There is something magical beyond money that makes a business unique. When you realize what that is, as my friend Courtney Tuttle has with his blog, then you will be amazed to see how you are impacting lives. Money will just be a byproduct of your success. There is no greater joy in life then giving something meaningful. How can you give something special to mankind and then be able to convey it? When you have done this then you have a true business.

You’ve put together a very solid list of panning ideas. Too many jump in without considering the depth of the water and are amazed to find themselves drowning.
I was working on a business article when you visited my place a little while ago. My blog is more personal than business, but I think you might find some value in what I’ve written today. Thanks for dropping in!
Too many scams out there, so it’s important to evaluate opportunities before signing up. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.
Home business crosses my mind every day. First of all I guess I should have some money to keep myself running the first months if the income was not that much. The problem is I don’t have. And I work all day, that’s why I’m doing payperpost to get some more money.
Thanks for sharing this information.

Hello! Stopped by for Click and Comment Monday. That is a good post on home business. I would add two more things. Anything that requires you to autobuy a product on a monthly basis is not going to make you money unless you use the products. Also, HYIPs and paid to click, paid to read and paid to surf are all bogus. If the ad says, “we/our system/our team does all the work, you do not have to do anything,” ask yourself, “why do they need me?”
Thanks for visiting my blog.
hey I was just searching the web and found this great sight explaining how I can start a business from home. My question is: Can I start a business from my parents home, or do I need to have my own home?
Interesting point. Many people do get hyper at the idea of making money and jump into home businesses while knowing only one thing: the instructions on how to run some specific home business. All the other elements like customer care, communication, planning, retreating, etc, are ignored by those people are they think a home business does not need all of those. Sure, a home business does not need all the preparations that a corporate business needs, but a home business still needs some preparation.
Also, people do need to select each business wisely. Just because an opportunity is available does not mean it should be pursued. The opportunity should have a useful return on its investments.
Nice post!
Also, Svend, you can start a business from either home. Just make sure your parents are into it somehow also, if you decide to use their home.
Hi, Cade,
Be Yourself - Do you think we can detect if a blogger is sincere or not ? ..;D Can we feel it through their writing ?
Regarding this reading people thing…in my experience, I sometimes get it wrong ! There are people whom I don’t like at first, but after a few months or even a year, I find that they are actually friends who stand by me when I am in trouble.Whereas those I think are nice, they turn out to be the ugliest ones !

either one will do, i think
This last point is excellent. Many people still think that business is all about greed; taking from others. But I think it can be just the opposite. Some of the most successful people are actually very generous. They are contributing their expertise and effort. Sure, they charge for it, but that’s fair if it’s worth the money!
At the risk of sounding sentimental, giving makes you feel good. (Well, for most people, it does.) So, if you can do that, and get paid well for it, then you’ve won twice over.
