We see movies like The Terminator out there and we get scared that we have made computers too knowledgeable and now they are going to over take us. Well I think that we have already done that to some extent. Computers are absolutely vital for the time consumption of make money business opportunities, but we should not let it tell us what to do.
We see so many people doubt in themselves their capabilities to think. We recieve so much data from our business from sources of traffic to the correct type of font to use. I think that we would be a lot better if we took a step back and realized what options are out there for us to take. Any information a computer can provide is important to take into consideration, but at the same time no computer is going to tell you to be more patient, how to treat a customer, or who to hire or fire.
There are certain decisions that business owners should make that need to come from the heart and from experience. No computer can or should tell him what to do no matter how detailed the information is. You have to respect the view points of other managers and your own personal interaction. Trust in your systems that you have in place including the integrity of your company and the employees. These human relationships are valuable and shouldn’t be neglected for statistics.
The same comes with dealing with a client. It is your repsonsibility to protect them and supply them with the best information and value that they desire. There are certain human aspects that are crucial to the success of a business. I have worked on the phone selling services for a while and I remember one time talking to an older lady. She expressed to me how impressive it was that I was actually a real voice on the other side of the phone and not an automated recording.
Their is a human factor that is lost in all of the outsourcing and mechanisms that are set up to releave cost and time. This is necessary to create independence in your business, but at the same time don’t get yourself caught in a trap and lose your clients.
