As you build your business, you need to build yourself. Work to evolve in many different avenues. You need to build a strong relationship with yourself and respect your body. Love yourself enough to read and build your mind. Exercise to care about your body and then do what you must to get enough sleep and eat healthy.
Also build personal relationships. Make your family a priority and have numerous opportunities where you are able to teach your children and spouse and at the same time try to learn as much as you can from your experiences with them. Work hard to love your family as much as you love your business.
There will be days when being a family member will be a struggle and you will have to fight through weakness. This is to be understandable because we all have pride and we can justify a business as a source of money, education, ability to spend more time with your family, and give more to them.
I promise you that if you can set aside time each week to give to your family then you will be ten times more happy and your business will flourish more than you could ever expect. I know that many people say that it is hard to stay on track when you have distractions, but if your family is a distraction then you need to set your priorities quickly in order to save your family relationship.
I hope that many of you focus more on being remembered as a family man or family woman and not a business owner. Relationships are essential to success in life and without them then life has little purpose. If you are struggling in your family then do what you can financially to cut back and spend more time with your family. This will mean everything to you and your future.
