Facing Your Business Deamons

“We are taught to understand, correctly, that courage is not the absence of fear, but the capacity for action despite our fears.”

-John McCain, Senator and War Hero

One of the hardest parts of business is taking on those things that we fear the most.  For some of you it might be sales, for others it may be buildling relationships with other businesses, for some of you it may be creating a product, or marketing that product.  There are countless things that you can fear going into a business.  It may even be letting people know that you started a business.

This is such a challenge for many of you because of the fear that goes into doing something that you don’t know how to do and probably don’t have a lot of training or experience on how to handle all of the circumstances that can come with a new business.  I suggest that you do all that you can to meet your fears head on.  Challenge them and relish it as much as they do you.  Attempt your fears a hundred times with your business.  If that means going door to door to perform a sale then do it.  If that means making a hundred phone calls or putting up fifty press releases then do it.
