Don’t Scatter Your Energy In Your Business Opportunities

“I believe the true road to preeminent success in any line is to make yourself master in that line. I have no faith in the policy of scattering one’s resources, and in my experience I have rarely if ever met a man who achieved preeminence in money making.. certainly never one in manufacturing.. who was interested in many concerns.”

-Andrew Carnegie, Tycoon, Mogul, and Business Legend of his era

There are always so make money business opportunities for making money on the Internet, stock market, real estate, sales, etc. The list is endless and can get overwhelming. I know because I deal with this all the time and it tears me a part at times because I feel like I have become successful in certain aspects, but not great in one and really you only need to be great in one at one time. It doesn’t hurt to move forward in many different areas and create success, but master one area before you move on to another area.

Some of the best internet marketers I know are people that don’t put a lot of time into other endeavors because they focus on the Internet and try to stay up to date with technology and strategies that are useful. If you try to move into many different categories like I have been trying to do then you will get little accomplished and find yourself with a massive headache.

I have tried to learn about sales, internet marketing, e-mail campaigns, future trading, real estate investing, and it seems like the list goes on and on. Not to mention throwing in a little network marketing in there. It is funny to think about all that I have been involved with in a short period of time and how I have done well in all, but not really great in one. I would give one exception and that is the sales department. I have been blessed to have the ability to be persistent even when I am not good at a skill.

Patience is a virtue that I have learned to accomplish and I want you to know for sales it was very evident. I was trying to do school, a business, internet marketing, real estate, and have a social life and it made it difficult for me to achieve success in sales. I decided that I was going to sacrifice some things and focus my attention on being able to create success in one area. I had a job in sales and I knew I needed an income to pay debts. It was obvious that it was the immediate area I needed to focus on.

I erased a lot of other distractions out of my life, some of these things good and valuable, but just pointless right now in my life. I decided to get my skill set for sales where I wanted it to be. It took time and it happened, but I had to sacrifice some other areas. Now I am able to focus on my next area, which is Internet Marketing, a lot more and I still have my skills with sales. I just don’t have to focus on it as much. Once I have Internet Marketing where I want it to be and it is moving forward in the right direction I am going to focus more on futures trading.

Save yourself the time and just become good in one area and then move on to the next. You will appreciate your accomplishments that much more and see them achieved at a greater pace.
