Many of the reasons that people fail to make more is that they decide to keep more. How the natural human tendency of man works is that as he makes more he becomes more greedy and selfish. He fights for everything he has to the point that it consumes him and destroys who he is.

That is partly what has made Bill Gates such an icon for our society because of his philanthropy. Many people succumb to a scarcity mentality because they will never make any more money or they could lose their money instantly.
This fear is a foundation for failure that causes immense sadness. When you learn to give then you will act more wisely with your funds. You will learn that there is more to business and life than just a dead president on a piece of paper. People will flock to you more and you will have more influence in how people lead their lives. You can help to create a greater good and ease yourself of your own burdens. When you can learn to separate yourself from the power of money then that is the point when you become truly wealthy.
