Work Out Your Sales And Marketing Fears

“Understand that you need to sell you and your ideas in order to advance your career, gain more respect, and increase your success, influence and income.”

-Jay Abraham, Marketing Expert

Many of you hate sales and I understand that. I did too. It is scary because the natural fear makes you feel like you are putting people out and you don’t want to be considered that guy that everyone hates. I think that it is a silly idea because we do a lot worse things in our lives that puts people out. The difference is that we have confidence and passion in things we familiar ourselves with.

So you need to familiar yourself with your product to the point you are confident in what you are providing people and you know exactly how you are going to help people out. I suggest you start talking to a lot of people such as business owners, venture capitalists, prospects and the list goes on. Know where you are at with your weaknesses and strengths. This will give you a good idea what to work on. Go to other people that are successful with the same type of sales that you do or read well known books about it.

Are there any particular books that helped you understand the sales side of things? I’m always looking for recommendations.
