How To Get Ahead Of Your Competition

One of the biggest mistakes that you can do is simply do what your competition does.  It is important to learn from them and what they do, but it is even more important that you find your own niche and areas where you can improve on what they would have done.  People struggle with businesses on the Internet because they think that they have to do the same thing that everyone else does, but that is not case.  Find out several great performers with their Internet Business Opportunities and see what they do well, but be willing to leave some of it at the table which is not that important.

One classic example is that I thought that anyone doing Internet Marketing would have to market their site with their own name and that was the best way to make a brand because that is what John Chow, Steve Pavlina, and Courtney Tuttle did.  Well as I have found out it isn’t absolute.  It is good, but not vital.  The same should go with you and your site.  You should think about all of the advantages of writing for a brand, and it doesn’t have to be your name.  If you can find success in a brand then people won’t care if the name sounds weird like Google, Technorati, Yahoo, or whatever.  You need to master good marketing techniques and provide good value on your site and it will always be worthwhile.
