Making A Mistake In Business

One of the worst things that many people do is that they quickly look to blame other people for their mistakes.  Very few people in our society want to take responsobility for their actions and they are more then willing to put the blame on someone else or make an excuse for their actions.  It is so interesting that we live in a society that hates to take responsbility, but the irony is that many people make public mistakes that we tear them apart for and then they make a public apology and everything is fine.

I think people don’t want to be judged.  They hate being judged negatively by others and would prefer to stick to the thought that they are loved.  Maybe that is the nuture from childhood, who knows.  The bottom line is that people hate to be wrong and they will fight for it.  I am amazed at how certain people I have interacted with in business are willing to admit their mistakes very quickly and challenge any person that continues to make an issue of it.  Really mistakes happen in life or business and we should look for forgiveness just as much as we ask for it.

Great post, taking responsibility for your mistakes is one step closer to learning from them, which should be the ultimate goal.
