Frustrated Clients

When you get frustrated with a potential business relationship, the last thing you want to do is hang up on them. No matter how frustrated you are with them or uncomfortable it may be. Just end it on a positive note and it will make it worth while. This happen to one of the potential clients I had recently and he got so embarrassed about his decision to back out on our agreement that he hung up on me. It was really sad for me to see that.

I honestly didn’t feel mad, because it didn’t matter to me whether he did it or not. Now don’t get me wrong, I wanted to support him and if he was one of our clients then I would do all I could to fulfill his expectations with our service. I also realize you win some and you lose some. Remember when people are frustrated with potential business deals, transactions, business relationships, etc. that it is them and not you.

You never know when you will need that relationship. Never burn a bridge. It could bite you in the end.

There are few reasons for a customer/supplier relationship to end. One reason I know about is the customer wanting to move on to different services, with a different supplier. In my experience with this client we had few years of successful relationship together. This was a very positive relation for both of us. They decided to move on, and so did I. Notwithstanding this we still have great consideration for each other.
This was actually an amazing experience for me. The ability to use my knowledge and experience acquired with my customer to move on to new business opportunities, and probably my customer was able to move on thanks to the services I provided him. Great thing, I love business.
