It can be hard to find the diamond lead in the rough.
It can be a difficult task to find a business opportunity seekers as a lead that is worth your time and theirs. Just because they buy a product from you doesn’t mean that they are going to be worth your time and their time.
Many people are looking to start businesses from home, but they don’t know what they want to do. They haven’t thought about it before, but because of difficult circumstances they become so strongly focused on making money now that they don’t realize that starting a business takes time and patience.

A lot of the people that are looking for these business opportunities are looking for a get rich quick scheme. Now honestly I couldn’t ethically give them that pie in the sky dream and maybe you can, but I wouldn’t sleep at night. There are hard working people out there that are genuinely looking to get a business going where they have realistic expectations and they are willing to put forth the time to get those results. You just have to know where to look for them and how to market to them.
Be Forward And Honest
First of all with all of your marketing materials paint a very realistic picture of what it will take, almost to the point where you are bewaring them of doing it. This will help to separate the weak from the committed and it is a good sales tactic.
Second you need guarantee very little so you always over deliver. This will make them appreciate you even more and cause a lot less stress on both parties with your business opportunity. This might require taking a lower enrollment, but it will be worth it for you.
Third, realize that these are people with hopes and dreams so find out what they really want and let them know that is what you are going to help them to get. People get so caught up in the details of a business, but it means so little.
It is about the bills, the disability, the car payments, day care, gas, retirement, etc. Always remember that and you can’t fail because will help to motivate to not only sell your leads, but build solid testimonials for future potential leads or specifically creating business opportunity leads for your business.

Great post, and excellent comments guys. I just started a business in October of this year, and it’s been rough going. At first, I tried a sales approach that although it wasn’t deceptive, it did conceal the nature of the service from the potential client. This was due to competition issues. I found little success that way. Business owners are smart people, and have learned to be suspicious of such tactics. So yes, it literally pays to be upfront and ethical in all business dealings.
